Jenkintown Borough is a small suburban town, less than a square mile in area, making it one of the smallest municipalities in the US, with a population of approximately 4,450 residents. Surrounded by bustling Abington and Cheltenham Townships and a short drive to Philadelphia, Jenkintown appears to be a quiet oasis. The small-town vibe of Jenkintown allows residents to share strong social ties to the community and gain a sense of support and inclusion from residents to business owners. In 2017, I approached the Borough with a proposal to overhaul their municipal website, and was immediately approved during the first council meeting in which I presented this proposal. Ever since, I have been their webmaster and provide remote support in various other areas. In 2020, we were awarded “Best Borough Website” by the State of Pennsylvania.
